Complete Bathroom and Kitchen Renovations!
“We have lived in our home for the past 27 years and our kitchen and bathrooms needed “some work”, so we thought! We called Paul and he came by for a free consultation. He was very upfront about the work needing to be done not as a “patch” job which cost less but would give us more headaches compared to a complete gut renovation. We had other contractors that told us to change kitchen cabinet doors only (in order to get the job within our budget). But Paul said that was not the long-term solution since the inside of our cabinets had over the years been damaged and more importantly the pipes were corroded, plus we wanted to put new appliances which measured a little different that existing old ones. Everyone else wanted us to do a cosmetic lift of our kitchen but Paul was not thinking of that but of the foundational work as well. We decided to stay within our budget and only do the kitchen but do it right! The bathroom will be done next year. Our kitchen is now our favorite family hang out spot! Can’t thank Paul enough for his long-term thinking and honesty. Looking forward to redoing our bathrooms with BLH Construction team soon.”

Bathroom Renovation
“A few years ago, my father stated showing signs of memory loss which turned out to be the beginnings of Alzheimer’s. My parents live in a luxury condo in Manhattan but with this devastating condition, I could see my mom suffering even greater. Therefore, my family decide that my parents could come and stay with us in Westchester on occasion. So, we needed to redo/redesign our guest room and especially the bathroom to accommodate a larger and safer shower instead of a bath tub and connect the bathroom to the guest room for easy obvious access. We called a few contractors and checked out Lowe’s and Home Depot as well. We decided to go with BLH Construction mostly because of the way Paul (the owner) showed professionalism and yet was so caring and understanding of our situation. We did not feel like this was just another “job” to him. He suggested us to pick materials ourselves for the complete gut renovation that would help my dad with his condition (color, texture, spacing, etc…) and he connected us to his suppliers to purchase directly. He coordinated the timing of the labor with the us and the suppliers and helped make this renovation hopeful. His team cared for the job as well, they were always on time, clean, tidied up the area before leaving and followed protocols and regulations. Thank you, Paul, and BLH Team!”

Attic Change to Bedroom Suite
“We were blessed with our 3rd child a few years ago but our home was a 3 bedroom which meant the 2 girls would be sharing a bedroom. However, the age difference between the two girls is such that as our eldest enters high school, the youngest enters kindergarten! We did not want to leave our neighborhood nor wanted to buy a bigger home with the current conditions. We had 2 options for extra space: the basement and the attic! A friend recommended us to consult Paul, at BLH Construction. He gave us a complimentary consultation after a walk through and made the choice clear that the attic was ideal for a 4th bedroom. He asked us to look up the permit laws for redesigning the attic with the addition of multiple skylights and rewiring the lines for the heating and cooling systems, etc. The attic bedroom turned into a gorgeous bright and happy Suite. My eldest daughter took over this space and loves it for her big, private, sun filled teenage years and beyond. The family is very happy and of course my husband is more than anyone else since Paul stayed within our budget. Thanks to my friend who recommended Paul:)”
Converting a bedroom to a professional office space
“As Covid hit our nation full force by early 2020, my work location changed from my office in a corporate building to our home. But our home was where my spouse did her work from as well, and the kids also did their school virtually from and there were still the pets making all kinds of noise while I had to be on important work meetings on zoom. So we decided to use one of the bedrooms and convert it to an actual office. Most contractors that we contacted on the phone didn’t even want to give us options since to them this was too small a job. But when we called BLH, our situation was well understood and a virtual touring of the space took place. An initial rough plan and estimate was proposed to us. The room needed new lighting and wiring to change the look from a bedroom to an office ( we didn’t want the generic zoom backgrounds), the windows were changed to make them sound proof and shelving and filing spaces were added, new flooring and painting and finally installing of a monitor within the wall. The office space looks professional, comfortable to be spending hours on zoom and I was able to ask my accountant to deduct the expenses off of our taxes. Thanks to Paul, a job everyone else considered a “ non- producing” job, became a producing job both for BLH but more importantly for me and my family’s needs.”
Professional Office Renovation
“Needed a remodeling of my 5 room professional office space to rent out to other professionals. Paul and his team consulted my team of designers and came up with a plan within our budget and time. Had some set back due to subcontractor timing and material purchase but Paul was able to rearrange schedules to keep our project moving and met our deadline. Will work with this team again as we grow. They are very efficient, professional, punctual and worth every penny.”
